Maybe you would like to watch the sun rise from your private Bblcony, open the glass doors as you prepare breakfast and be visited by blue wrens in search of food.

In the Lodge, you may join old or new friends in the lounge and enjoy breakfast overlooking the gardens and the fishing fleet anchored in Mill Bay; take a stroll to Smugglers Cove or the Harbour View terrace en route maybe catching a glimpse of some of Tasmania’s rarest birds which frequent the grounds.

There is no traffic, no street noise, you won’t see masses of people and your views are of wilderness, harbour, and the mountains.

Spend a relaxing day amongst a diversity of birdlife and wildflowers.  Take a short five minutes, or extended 40 minutes walk as you explore the boats and foreshore.

If you find yourself getting withdrawal symptoms from the city life, take a three-minute drive into the fast developing Strahan township.  From there, you can take a World Heritage cruise, wilderness flight, jet boat ride, see “The Ship that never was”, play golf or try fine food at one of the many eating establishments.

To exchange the township street noise for the sound of surf breaking on Ocean Beach, return home to the Lodge, Relax and watch the sun set over the button grass plains as your partner cooks dinner on one of the BBQ’s or watch the moon rise from beyond the mountains as you share a bottle of wine in privacy and seclusion of the Harbour view Terrace.

At Strahan Wilderness Lodge  we offer you a special place to share with loved ones and friends.

We are a privately owned family run business insuring your personalised service and attention.
